1. Shipping Scope
CryptKi currently ships primarily within Europe, including certain non-EU European countries such as the United Kingdom or Switzerland. The list of available destinations is displayed during checkout and may evolve over time depending on logistics, legal requirements, or carrier availability.
Some countries or regions may be unavailable due to legal, regulatory, or logistical restrictions (for example export control rules, customs limitations or carrier constraints).
Certain territories may be treated differently for customs or tax purposes due to international agreements. CryptKi applies shipping and tax treatment according to applicable international and local regulations.
If a destination is not offered at checkout, CryptKi does not ship there.
If a European destination is not available at checkout, Customers may contact CryptKi ([email protected]) before placing an order. CryptKi may, at its sole discretion and depending on logistics feasibility, carrier availability, and regulatory constraints, arrange a manual shipment.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that ordering and importing cryptographic security products is lawful in their country (see sections 8, 13 and 14).
2. Shipping Methods & Carriers
CryptKi uses trusted professional carriers (for example national postal services or express carriers).
Available shipping methods and carriers may vary by country and are displayed at checkout.
CryptKi may change carriers at any time without prior notice.
3. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on: delivery address, parcel weight and dimensions, selected carrier and delivery speed.
All applicable shipping fees are displayed before order confirmation.
Free standard shipping may be available depending on the destination country and the total order amount.
Current free shipping thresholds generally apply as follows:
- Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg — from €100
- Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia and Croatia — from €150
- Certain other European destinations depending on current shipment costs — from €200
Free shipping normally applies to standard delivery methods (typically parcel shop / pickup point delivery). Home delivery options may also qualify for free shipping in some destinations, but additional fees may apply depending on the available carriers and delivery methods.
Shipping eligibility, available delivery methods and exact thresholds are always calculated automatically during checkout based on the delivery address.
CryptKi reserves the right to modify free shipping thresholds or conditions at any time due to changes in logistics costs or carrier pricing.
Shipping fees are non-refundable except where required by mandatory law or in case of a proven error by CryptKi.
4. Order Processing Time
For in-stock items, orders are generally processed within 1–2 business days after payment confirmation.
No order processing takes place on weekends or Belgian public holidays.
In exceptional situations (e.g. high order volume, logistic disruption), processing may take longer than usual; in such cases CryptKi will make reasonable efforts to inform the Customer in case of significant delay.
5. Estimated Delivery Times
Indicative delivery timeframes (after shipment) may include, for example: national deliveries: typically a few business days; deliveries within the EU/EEA: usually several business days; international deliveries: may take longer depending on distance, carrier, and customs.
These timeframes are estimates only. Actual delivery may be shorter or longer depending on carrier’s network, peak periods, customs clearance, or other events beyond CryptKi’s control.
Delays in transport do not entitle the Customer to damages or contract termination, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
6. Shipping Confirmation & Tracking
Once the order is shipped, the Customer will receive a confirmation email including:
- the carrier name
- a tracking link
- a tracking number (if available)
The Customer is responsible for monitoring the shipment using the tracking information and for contacting the carrier if necessary (e.g. failed delivery attempts, pick-up at parcel shop, etc.).
7. Transfer of Risk
Risk of loss or damage to the products transfers to the Customer when:
- the parcel is physically delivered to the delivery address provided, or
- the parcel is handed to a person designated to receive it (neighbour, reception, pick-up point, etc.), as indicated by the carrier’s tracking data.
CryptKi is not liable for theft, loss, or damage occurring after successful delivery confirmed by the carrier.
8. Customs, Duties & Import Taxes (Non-EU Shipments)
For deliveries outside the European Union, local authorities may charge import duties, import VAT or sales tax, customs clearance and brokerage fees, or other import-related charges.
For such shipments, applicable Belgian VAT may be removed at checkout depending on the delivery destination. Import VAT, customs duties, and any local taxes may then be charged by the destination country.
These costs are entirely the responsibility of the Customer and are not included in the price paid on CryptKi unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, international shipments are made under the Incoterm DAP (Delivered At Place). Under this term, the Customer is responsible for paying any import duties, import VAT, customs clearance fees, or brokerage fees required by the carrier or local authorities in the destination country.
If customs blocks, returns, seizes or destroys a shipment due to local regulations, missing documents, or non-compliance with import rules, no refund of the product or shipping price will be issued by CryptKi, unless required by mandatory law.
By placing an order, the Customer agrees to:
- verify import rules in their country before purchasing,
- pay any customs or import charges requested by the carrier or local authorities,
- bear the risks associated with importing cryptographic security products.
9. Delayed, Lost, or Damaged Shipments
9.1. Delayed Shipments
Delivery delays caused by carriers, customs, or other third parties do not entitle the Customer to compensation, except where mandatory law provides otherwise. CryptKi may assist with information and follow-up but cannot guarantee carrier performance.
9.2. Lost Packages
A parcel is considered lost only once the carrier’s investigation is completed and the loss is officially confirmed. In that case, CryptKi will either send a replacement (where stock and destination allow), or issue a refund for the product and standard shipping fees. CryptKi cannot act before the carrier has closed its investigation or provided an official status.
9.3. Damaged Packages on Delivery
If the outer shipping box (outer box) shows significant damage on delivery (crushed, torn, heavily punctured, signs of tampering):
- The Customer should refuse the parcel and ask the carrier to record the refusal due to visible damage.
If the Customer decides to accept the parcel anyway, they must:
- take multiple clear photos of the outer box before opening it,
- avoid opening the inner product box if the outer damage suggests a risk of tampering.
If the outer box is slightly damaged but still acceptable:
- The Customer may accept the parcel,
- must take clear photos of the outer box before opening,
- then open carefully and inspect the product packaging.
In all cases of visible damage, the Customer must notify CryptKi within 48 hours of delivery, providing: order number, clear photos of the damaged outer box, clear photos of the inner box (without opening further if it appears partially opened or tampered), and photos of the shipping labels on the outer and inner packaging.
If the inner product box appears partially opened or tampered with, the Customer must not open it further and must contact CryptKi immediately with photos.
Failure to report visible damage within 48 hours, or further opening a suspicious package, may limit CryptKi’s ability to assist or to process a claim.
10. Incorrect Address, Failed Delivery & Returns to Sender
If delivery fails because of an incorrect, incomplete, or outdated delivery address; repeated absence of the Customer at delivery; or non-collection at a pick-up point within the carrier’s deadline:
- the parcel may be returned to CryptKi by the carrier,
- initial shipping fees remain non-refundable,
- re-shipping fees are at the Customer’s expense if a new shipment is requested,
- if the Customer requests cancellation, CryptKi may refund the product price excluding original shipping costs and any return costs charged by the carrier.
11. Missing Items on Delivery
If one or more items are missing from the order, the Customer must inform CryptKi within 48 hours of delivery, providing: order number, photos of the outer and inner packaging, and a list of missing items.
Reports made after 48 hours may be refused, except where mandatory law imposes different rules.
12. Separate Shipments
For operational reasons, CryptKi may ship an order in multiple parcels (depending on stock location or product type). Each parcel will have its own tracking number.
The Customer will be informed when an order is split into several shipments. Partial shipment does not affect the application of these Shipping Policy terms.
13. Products with Legal or Regulatory Shipping Restrictions
Certain products (cryptographic devices, safes, hardware wallets, sensitive security items) may be subject to export control rules, local import restrictions, certification and safety requirements. CryptKi may refuse to process or ship orders to destinations where such products cannot be lawfully exported or imported.
If a Customer nevertheless orders to a destination where importation is restricted or prohibited, the Customer:
- bears full responsibility for the legal compliance of the import,
- assumes all associated risks (blocking, seizure, destruction, fines),
- cannot claim a refund from CryptKi if customs or authorities retain, destroy, or return the goods, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
14. Customer Responsibilities
By placing an order, the Customer confirms that:
- all information provided (address, contact details, etc.) is accurate and complete,
- they or a designated person will be available to receive the parcel,
- they have checked that the products ordered may legally be imported and used in their country,
- they understand that documentation, user interfaces, and software may be available only in certain languages (e.g. English),
- they understand that electrical plugs, voltages, and standards may differ and that appropriate adapters may be required.
CryptKi cannot be held responsible for:
- incompatibility with local electrical or technical standards,
- lack of documentation in the Customer’s preferred language,
- any consequences arising from non-compliance with local regulations by the Customer.
